In 2016 I travelled to Odisha, India, to learn the traditional method of Lost wax casting.
Below are images of a few small sculptures that resulted from the process.
Here the beauty was in the creation, using only a fire in the ground to melt the metal and turning a wheel to keep that fire going. The metal was poured into casts made of the earth.
Here I also used methods of natural patination, as where I was working was extremely remote, I used methods of burying in cows urine, and smoking the peices in wood smoke, and using ash.
